Apartment Leasing Representative (Chestnut Hill, MA)

The Leasing Representative role is primarily a sales and customer service position. As a Leasing Representative you will build relationships with prospective residents, identify needs, show apartments, overcome objections, and close the deal by obtaining the lease paperwork and a check for one month's rent. You will manage the entire leasing process from start to finish.

Leasing Representative Responsibilities:

  • Understands the product and how to sell the advantages of living at the apartment community.
  • Answers incoming telephone calls and replies to all email leads in a timely fashion.
  • Tours prospective residents.
  • Qualifies prospective residents by running background checks and verifying income.
  • Prepares lease documents and schedules lease signings in a timely fashion.
  • Follows up with prospective residents.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

This position will require working a Tuesday through Saturday schedule which some holidays (our site offices are only closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day). We offer excellent benefits and a generous commission package. Candidates must have a current, valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle to conduct company business.

To be successful in this role, you must be interested in meeting and connecting with all types of people (no day is the same). You will use your excellent written and verbal communication skills to find clients the right place to call home. Assistant Design Manager (Chestnut Hill, MA)
This person will assist the Director of RE Planning & Design/Owner's Rep in the oversight of the capital expenditures department, will be involved in design decisions and selections on projects, will oversee installations and will act as a liaison to the Construction Division and Property Management Division.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of Design AND Administrative work related experience with a 4 year degree preferred.
  • Construction and/or property management industry experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel and Outlook), CAD preferred.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Good communication skills
  • Accurate with an attention to detail

Maintenance Supervisor (Providence, RI)
The Maintenance Supervisor for the Regency Plaza supervises the maintenance, painting, HVAC and janitorial staffs and coordinates the daily maintenance operations of the property to ensure that it is safe and well-functioning - all while assuring the quality of its appearance, its level of service and the satisfaction of its residents and commercial tenants. The goal is to build a strong, cohesive and satisfied staff which works together professionally, effectively and harmoniously.

The Primary Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Maintains a working knowledge of all maintenance programs and capital improvement projects to ensure the proper and efficient operation of systems, preventive maintenance programs and responses to resident service requests.
  • Is responsible for maintenance and capital improvement budgets.
  • Prepares the work schedules and on-call schedules for the staff.
  • When needed, performs maintenance in units.
  • Purchases all materials and controls inventory.
  • Assists in hiring, developing and training of staff.
  • Selects outside vendors and contractors by obtaining competitive quotes and schedules and monitors completion of their work.
  • Participates in the development of the capital improvement program and ensures its execution.

Job Requirements include:

  • Minimum five years maintenance supervisory experience in residential property management.
  • Minimum three years maintenance technician experience.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and initiative.
  • Budgeting experience.
  • Computer Proficiency required - including word and excel.
  • May be required to be on call and must be available for emergency situations including weekends and holidays.
  • Skills and abilities normally associated with completion of at least high school or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Maintenance Technician (Chestnut Hill, MA)
Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing various maintenance functions that are necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community. We are looking for service-minded professionals with a cheerful, customer service attitude willing to roll up their sleeves and go to work! The Technician may not necessarily have an apartment maintenance background. However, the ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in some form of facilities or building environment. All candidates must have a current driver's license in good standing. Must have a team player attitude. This position is located at multiple site locations. Participation in rotating on-call schedule along with being available for emergency situations and snow removal (including weekends and holidays) is required. Resident Services Coordinator (Friday through Monday schedule) (Chestnut Hill, MA)
As the Receptionist at Hancock Village, you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of property management including sales and marketing and customer service. He/she will provide support to the leasing team and assist the property manager as necessary to ensure the property can maintain a sales focus and achieve its occupancy and revenue goals. Schedule will be Saturday (10 to 4), Sunday (10 to 4) and Monday (9 to 5), Friday (9 to 5) with an additional week day to be determined.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Resident Relations including greeting walk-in customers and answering general inquiries and scheduling resident reservations in the calendar for room reservations
  • Accurately and efficiently prepares and assists with all leasing paperwork (e.g., guest cards, applications, lease agreements and utilizing leasing technology to distribute leads
  • Plan and organize resident events and functions
  • Answering incoming phone calls and routing appropriately. Schedule appointments for other staff members
  • Perform clerical duties, such as photocopying, typing, faxing, mailing documents and responding to and sending e-mails. Monitor and order office supplies

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year office support experience
  • Excellent listening & communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that may change and includes weekends, weekdays, early evening and holidays

Staff Accountant/Senior Property Accountant (Chestnut Hill, MA)
We are searching for a Staff Accountant for our Corporate Accounting department. Under the direction of the Assistant Controller, the Staff Accountant will provide accounting support for Chestnut Hill Realty.

Primary Duties:

  • Maintain general ledgers, supporting reconciliations and supporting documents.
  • Prepare Financial Statements.
  • Assist with budget preparation.
  • Financial statement analysis / budget variance analysis
  • Perform tenant / unit owner account reconciliation and inquiries.
  • Ensure bank reconciliations are prepared and reviewed timely on a monthly basis
  • Perform general ledger reconciliation
  • Identify and solve errors in account balances and make appropriate adjustments
  • Interface with and provide assistance to property managers.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of practical accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in Accounting
  • Basic understanding of the accounting cycle, account classifications, debits and credits
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Detail oriented with great communication and organizational skills
