We are launching a Water Conservation Challenge! We can all do our part to reduce our carbon footprint and conserve our natural resources, starting with a precious resource-WATER!

With this letter, you will find a shower hourglass timer. It will clock an environmentally-conscious four minute shower for you! If we reduce the water usage beginning May 5th through June 5th, (using the average May water bill for the last few years) we will celebrate with a Pizza Party, shortly after you have won the challenge. Pizza, salad and drinks will be served in the Foyer between 5:30pm – 7pm!

How CHR is conserving:
As you may be aware, we recently installed a state of the art irrigation system in the front of the building, which will conserve more natural resources (water and gasoline) than our staff hand watering the landscape. The irrigation system is metered separately from the building, so it will not affect your challenge!

Ways to reduce your water usage:
 Call in any leaky toilets, faucets or the sound of running water at odd times in the building!
 Scrape your dishes prior to washing them!
 If you have a dishwasher run only full loads!
 Turn off the water while you’re brushing your teeth and shaving!
 Never use the toilet as a waste basket.
